Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, May 1999: Fisk--Orpha Cochran, 92, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, May 15, 1999, at the Westwood Hills Health Care Center. Mrs. Cochran was born Aug. 26, 1906, at Puxico. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Cochran had lived in Butler County since 1945. She was formerly of Fisk and had been living with her daughter in Poplar Bluff. She had owned and operated Cochran's Store in Broseley and Fisk. She married Charles Ralph Cochran Dec. 12, 1931. He died May 15, 1983. Survivors are a son, Burl Cochran of O'Fallon, Ill.; a daughter, Patricia Goings of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Norman A. McGowen of Bradenton, Fla.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Monday at White-Sanders Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. W. V. Mosbey officiating. Burial will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery at Fisk.
