Charles Ralph Cochran

Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Monday, May 16, 1983, Page 20, Col. 2: Charles Ralph Cochran, 77, of Twin Towers died at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Lucy Lee Hospital. He formerly owned Cochran's Store in Fisk, and had lived in Poplar Bluff for approximately seven years. Mr. Cochran was born Nov. 10, 1905 in Butler County. On Dec. 12, 1931, he was married to Orpha McGowen. She survives. He was a member of RSVP and AARP and was affiliated with Hobbs Chapel Methodist Church. Other survivors include one son, Burl Cochran of O'Fallon, Ill., one daughter, Patrick Goings of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Frank Cochran of Sunny Mead, Calif. and Louis Cochran of Farmington; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at White-Sanders Funeral Home at Fisk. The Rev. John Thomas will conduct the service and burial will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today.
