The Morning Sun, Pittsburg, Kansas, Wednesday February 15, 1984, Page 8: Liberal--S. Cleona Overstreet, 78, of Liberal, died at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1984, in Joplin after a short illness. She was born on Dec. 8, 1905, in Pittsburg. She married Ralph Overstreet on Jan. 4, 1942 in Carthage, Mo. He survives. She taught school in Barton County for 10 years. Mrs. Overstreet was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and the Liberal American Legion Auxiliary. Other survivors include one sister, Bertha Wyrick of 305 W. Fourth, Pittsburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Lohmeyer-Konantz Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Pennell officiating. Burial will be in Liberal City Cemetery. Friends may visit from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
