George "Harvey" Clason

Idaho Press-Tribune, Nampa, Idaho, Tuesday, July 24, 2001: G. Harvey Clason. George Harvey Clason went to be with the Lord July 23, 2001, at 6 a.m., after a battle with bone and lung cancer. Friends and family are asked to gather for a graveside service at the Fargo Cemetery on Fargo Road, off Lower Pleasant Ridge Road near Wilder, on Wednesday, July 25, at 10 a.m. Harvey was born Jan. 4, 1932, at Wilder to George and Agnes Clason. He went to school in Wilder and was active in sports, FFA and served as class president. His class reunions were very important to him and he very much enjoyed seeing old classmates. Harvey farmed all his life. He married Lavina Best on Sept. 2, 1956, in Caldwell. They moved to Pleasant Ridge in 1958 where he resided until his death. Survivors include his wife, Lavina and son, Craig of Colorado; his sister and brother-in-law, Delyte and Bob Simmons of Nampa and a brother and sister-in-law, Burton and Wanda Clason of The Dalles, OR. He is also survived by three nephews, a niece, several great-nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law, Orman and Esther Best of Priest River, Les and Wilma Asten of Lakeland, FL, Harold and Hazel Young of Caldwell, Dale and Helen Harrold of Parma and other nieces and nephews by marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents, two nephews, a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law. The family suggests memorials to the Mercy Hospice Program. MISTI West or your church.
