Obituary from Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Thursday, February 24, 1938, Pioneer Resident Died at Rombauer. Kirby Hamm, 77 years old, one of the real pioneer residents of Butler county, died at his home in Rombauer at 10 o'clock yesterday morning. He had been ill for some months. Mr. Hamm spent practically his entire life in the Rombauer district. In his younger days he taught in rural schools of the county, later devoting his life to farming. He is survived by his wife, Fannie; one son, Herbert, who lives near St. Louis, and a daughter Mrs. Henry Buchanan of the Rombauer district. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Rombauer church. Interment was in Hamtown cemetery.
