Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Friday, May 10, 1968, Page 2, Column 2: Herbert Hamm of Rombauer Dies At Age 71. Fisk--Herbert S. Hamm, 71-year-old retired laborer and resident of Rombauer, died Thursday at the Lucy Lee Hospital after a six month illness. A resident of Butler County most of his life, Hamm had formerly resided in Madison, Ill., and was born Dec. 18, 1896, in Butler County. On July 19, 1947, he married Ina Symons at Madison. He is survived by his wife; a son, Herbert A. Hamm of Joplin; a step-son, William E. Symons, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Rombauer Church. The Rev. Donald Dalton will conduct the services and burial will follow in the Hamtown Cemetery. White's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
