Funeral services for Hobart Kirkpatrick of Christopher will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Russell Funeral Home in Christopher. Mr. Kirkpatrick, 78, of 804 South Church Street in Christopher, died Wednesday at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Carbondale after a brief illness. The Reverend W. D. Berry will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 6 p.m. today. Mr. Kirkpatrick, a lifelong resident of Franklin county, was a retired employee of Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Christopher. He is survived by his wife, Ruie Allen Kirkpatrick; a daughter, Mrs. June Summers, Christopher; two grandsons and a sister, Mrs. Essie Spegal, West Frankfort.
