June was born Dec. 13, 1922, in Christopher to Hobart and Ruie (Allen) Kirkpatrick. She married Herbert Layman Summers and he preceded her in death Sept. 4, 2013. Survivors include children, Gregory and Gail Naylor of Jackson, Mich.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Layman Allen Summers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher. Interment will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery with Brother Burton Wills officiating.
