Ralph Elmer Burge

State Journal, Lincoln, Nebraska, January 15, 1939, Page 22, Col. 6: Ralph E. Burge, 50, was born in Butler county near Ulysses, Jan. 29, 1888 and died in Lincoln, Jan. 5, 1939. He came to Lancaster county in 1905, and had resided 10 miles southeast of Lincoln, as a famer and stock raiser. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church near Walton. He is survived by his wife, Minnie; three sons, Oren and Jerry at home, and Merle of Lincoln; three daughters, Norma and Geraldine at home and Wilma of Lincoln; parents Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Burge of Lincoln; two brothers, George C. and Ray of Lincoln; one sister, Mrs. Nora Kettlehut of Eagle. Private funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 9, and at Trinity Lutheran church near Walton at 2 p.m. Rev. R. Steahr officiating. Ruben Walt sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere, "The City Four Square," and "There'll Be No Tears In Paradise." Pallbearers were: Christ Hansen, Bert Smith, Ralph Havely, Louis Hodtwalker, Will Jensen and Will Finke. Interment was in Wyuka.
