The Dallas Morning News, Dallas, Texas, Sunday, August 30, 2009: Ferber, Wilma (Willie) Burge Olson 1918 - 2009 Willie was born in Lancaster County Nebraska to Minna and Ralph Burge. Willie Ferber died at age 90 on August 27th, 2009, in Dallas, Texas. She was predeceased by her parents, along with two sisters and two brothers. Willie is survived by son James R. Olson and wife Mary of Jersey City, N.J.; son William S. Ferber and partner Barbara Jordan of Dallas, Tx; brother Jerry F. Burge and wife Marilois of Longview, Tx, and numerous nieces and nephews. Willie was married in 1939 to Harold Olson in Lincoln, Nebraska. After his death she moved to San Antonio, Tx, where she served as a Civilian Lt. Colonel in the Air Force. While in San Antonio she met and married William M. Ferber of Dallas, TX, in 1964. After moving to Dallas, Willie spent most of her professional career as both a certified real estate broker, and selling home furnishings alongside her husband at Bill Ferber & Associates. Willie was a loving wife and Mother who touched the hearts of a seemingly infinite number of family and friends. Willie enjoyed life to its fullest, and loved to spend her free time playing both Bridge and golf. Visitation Sunday 6-8 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Tx, 75225. Funeral Services Monday, August 31st at 10:00AM.
