Port Angeles Evening News, Port Angeles, Washington, Monday, March 30, 1959, Page 9, Col. 6: Mrs. Alena Mabel Dawkins, 59, Rt. 3, Port Angeles died Sunday after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at the Harper Funeral Home Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William Cook officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Angeles Cemetery. Mrs. Dawkins was born in Nebraska July 8, 1899. She came with her family in 1928. Her husband, harry Dawkins died here in September, 1957. She has ten children, four daughters and six sons.

The daughters are Mrs. Eugene Beckett, Crescent City, Calif., Mrs. George Torgrinson, Duluth, Minn., Mrs. Howard Marquette and Mrs. James Miles, both of Port Angeles; the sons are Lewis Dawkins, Forks, Dale Dawkins, Sedro Woolley, Clyde Dawkins, Lacombe, Ore., Alvin Dawkins, Wheeler, Ore.; Amos and James Dawkins, both of Port Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Flavel, Hoquiam, Mrs. Isabel Oxenford in Oregon and Mrs. Lottie Murphy, New York City; a brother, Chester Fuller, Port Angeles and twenty-nine grandchildren.
