Alice Echo-News Journal, Alice, Texas, June 22, 2012: ALICE---Allene A. DeBerry, 89, passed away June 20, 2012 in Rockport. She was born August 27, 1922 in Water Valley, MS to Ernest V. and Ada Florence Aycock. She was a school teacher, an accountant for Aycock Oil Co and an active member of First Baptist Church in Alice and Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Corpus Christi. Allene was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lee Anthony Deberry and three brothers, Norman Aycock, Harold Aycock and Tom Ernest Aycock. Survivors include her husband, Clyde DeBerry of Rockport; one daughter, Cathy DeBerry Taylor of Dallas; one son, Mark (Rachel) DeBerry of Rockport; two granddaughters and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 24th at Holmgreen Mortuary. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2012 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Alice.
