Born in Lancaster County, he was son of the late John D. and Mary Garrison Casket. He was a World War I veteran. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Louise Kirkpatrick Caskey of Lancaster; five daughters, Mrs. Harry Baker and Mrs. Jack Mahaffey of Charlotte, N.C., Mrs. M. Poovey Beckham and Mrs. Cecil Adams of Lancaster and Mrs. Cecil Mosteller of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Charles S. Caskey Jr. of Lancaster; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Cauthen of Heath Springs and Mrs. Bertha White of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Services will be 5 p.m. today at New Hope Baptist Church. Mahaffey Funeral Home is in charge.
