From Find-A-Grave.com: Ules Layton, 86, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Broseley, died Tuesday at Doctors Regional Medical Center. Mr. Layton was born July 1, 1904, at Kime, MO. He married Vada Guinn on July 3, 1924 at Chanoia, MO. Mr. Layton was a resident of Broseley for 50 years. He attended the Black River Baptist Church in Broseley and was a retired custodian for the Broseley School. Survivors include two daughters, Berniece Tomerlin and Doris Mondy, both of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Williard Layton of Arnold, Hoyce Layton of Patterson and Wesley Layton of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Bessie St. Cin of Neelyville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
