Madison, Iowa, Tuesday, October 16, 1984, Page 2, Col. 6: George Whitmarsh, 80, of Creston, Iowa, a former Denmark resident, died Monday, Oct. 15, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, following a short illness. Mr. Whitmarsh was born Aug. 18, 1904. On June 1, 1927, he married Leila Kirkpatrick, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Duane, of San Antonio, Tex.; daughter, Mrs. Vincent (Patricia) Williams of Dubuque; a sister, Mrs. Max (Ruth) Flohrer of Salem, Ore.; a brother, Clayton of Denmark and four grandchildren and nephews and nieces. Funeral services are pending at Creston.
