Sgt. Daniel YOUNG

(Abt 1755 - Abt 1836)

[young.FTW]

Served in Butler's Rangers

Both Lt John Young and Sgt. Daniel Young are listed in the census of Niagara in 1783, but not their father Adam nor their brother Henry, indicating that the latter were living on their farms on the Grand River Reserve.
Later Daniel moved his family to his land adjoining his father and brother Henry farm on the Grand River.
Daniel eventually left his Grand River lands and moved to Barton Township where he lived on the Crown Grant of his wife Elizabeth, owning other lands near Ryckman's Corners as well. He apparently died there sometime after 1834 the date of his last will in which he mentioned some but not all of his children. This appears to have been a common thing, eighter of the times or of this particular family, that the names of all the surviving children were not mentioned. FIELD NAME Page FIELD NAME Page
