Death

Fred Goheen died Monday at Maple Lawn Midical care Facility in coldwaater after a long illness. He was 83.
The son of Joseph and Jeanette Light Goheen he was born in Carrelton, Ill Feb 19 1894. He married the former Lulu Trine in Battlecreek Jan 20 1923.
He lived most of his life in Tekonsha and owned and operated a farm in Calhoun county until 1871. He also had been employed at the Marshall Foundry and Livingstone's Foundry in Marshall. Since 1971 he resided in Coldwater.
Survivors include his wife Lulu two daughters Mrs James Lilliam Crowl of Viola Ark. and Jeanette Hicks of Hobart, Ind six sons Frederick ..., Kenneth W ad Glenn J all of Tekonsha, George K of Marshall, Chester H of Union City, and Joseph E of Coldwater. 37 grandchildren, 17 great grand children four half sister, Mary Hollibaugh of Willow Springs, Mo., Rosela Kirkpatrick of Sturgis, Anna Fisher of Ironton, Mo., and Alice Humphries of Wellsville, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm from Putam funeral home in Tekonsha Rev Wayne a Groat of the Uion Church of Tekonsha will officate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery
