After the ceremony, refreshments were served from a table centered with a three tiered wedding cake. Assisting in serving were Jeanette Goheen and bride's cousin Miss Marge Sully.
Those attending the wedding in addition to the groom's parents and Jeannette, George and Glenn Goheen, Chester Goheen of Burr Oak and Mr. and Mrs Frederick Goheen and son Johnnie of Tekonsha were Mr. and Mrs Edgar W Travis of Sherwood, grandparents of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rayburn and Miss Mildred N Travis of Sherwood, Mr. and Mrs John L Scully of Chicago and Miss Pearl Travis of Jackson
