Bob was born February 11, 1924 to Ruby (Dennis) and Mark Cave, Sr. at Rotan. After graduating from Rotan High School Bob was drafted into the Army during WWII. He married Dorothy Louise Acker at Rotan on March 20, 1948. Bob was a lifetime rancher in Kent County and was diligent in his work. He was a member of the Clairemont Baptist Church.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife (Dorothy Louise Cave), parents and son (David Cave).
Bob is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Raford Hargrove of Rotan; three grandsons and their wives, Rafe and Leslie Hargrove of Hobbs (and their children, Kaitlyn and Dylan), Mark and Amy Hargrove of Snyder (and their children, Callie and Ethan), David Mark and Anna Cave of Washington DC; two granddaughters, Caryn and Jeff Snyder of Grapevine, Beth Cave of San Antonio; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
