OBITUARY: DOROTHY LOUISE ACKER CAVEDorothy Louise Acker Cave died on Monday, August 15, 2005, in Temple, TX, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on August 2, 1923, at Rotan, TX, the daughter of Ed and Callie Acker, early Fisher County settlers. After graduating from Rotan High School and Hendrick Hospital School of Nursing, she married Kent County rancher Mark Cave, Jr; in 1948, in 1948, at Rotan, TX. She was a registered nurse and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Cave, and by her brother, Curtis Acker, and her sister, Vida Frazier. She is survived by her husband, Mark, by her daughter, Lana Hargrove, her sister, Edith Reed, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandgrandchildren, including Mark Hargrove of Snyder and Rafe Hargrove of Austin.
Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church, Rotan, TX, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, and officiated by Rev. James Lanning.
Burial following in Cottonwood Cemetery.
