Death
Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Mary Vice LaCombe Robideau, 75, wife of Horace Robideau, South Colton, formerly of 22 Beach Street, were held at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning, June 20, at St. Mary's Church.Mrs. Robideau passed away in Massena Memorial Hospital at 1:30 o'clock Saturday morning June 18, 1966, where she was taken Friday night.
She was born in Brasher Falls January 12, 1891, the daughter of George and Mary Jane Prashaw Vice. She attended Potsdam Normal and for a number of years was a teacher of piano. Her first husband, Irving LaCombe, died shortly after their marriage.
She and Horace Robideau were wed November 6, 1924 in St. Mary's Church. They resided at 22 Beach Street until a year ago when they moved to South Colton. Mr. Robideau was employed 39 years at Alcoa, Massena Works, in the potrooms where he spent his continuous service until his retirement.
Mr. and Mrs. Robideau spent last winter in Florida. She was a member of the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Association.
Surviving are her husband; six children, Norman LaCombe, Massena; Raymond Robideau, Ithaca; Donald Robideau, Massena; Mrs. Gerald (Agatha) Carson, Norfolk; and twins, Mrs. Arthur (Agnes) Durant, Massena and Mrs. Kay (June) Sumpter, Whitehall, MT; also 19 grandchildren and two great granddaughters; one sister, Mrs. Julia Compo, Brasher Falls. A sister, Mrs. Agnes L. Vice Norton, wife of Albert J. Norton of Norton's Motel, Potsdam, died June 9, unexpectedly.
