Death
COLTON -- Funeral services for Horace Robideau, 80, South Colton, were Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Church in South Colton.Mr. Robideau died Thursday, April 13, 1984 in the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past year.
Surviving are his wife, Harriet; two son, Donald, South Colton, and Raymond, Ithaca; two stepsons, Norman LaCombe, Florida, and Peter Major, Rochester; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Agatha) Carson, Norfolk, Mrs. Kay (June) Sumpter, Libby, MT, and Mrs. Joseph (Agnes) Charette, Rochester; three step-daughters, Mrs. Robert (Claire) Gardner, Pittsburgh, PA, Mrs. James (Marcia) Benware, Rochester, and Mrs. Anthony (Janet) Palermo, Fairport, NY; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Taylor, Saranac Lake; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Robideau was born February 6, 1904 in Brasher Falls, son of John and Minnie Lash Robideau. He worked at the Alcoa plant in Massena for 40 years and was a member of their 25-year club.
His first wife, Carrie LaCombe, died in 1966. He married Harriet Major August 9, 1969.
