Death
Shooting Takes Second VictimAlpine, Tex., Nov 18 - A shooting at the ranch near Fort Davis claimed its second victim Thursday with the death of Mrs. Pearl Farris Henderson 3, and officers said the woman's husband, Jimmie C Henderson, 39, would face another charge of murder.
W C Farris, 74, retired trapper and father of Mrs. Henderson, was killed instantly in the shooting last Sunday. Funeral services for Davis were held here Wednesday night.
Acting Dist. Att, Bill Holland of Marfa said he would charge the complaint against Henderson to that of murder. He previously had been charged with murder in connection with his father-in-law's death and assault with intent to murder in the shooting of his wife.
The Henderson's were married in Juarez, Mexico in 1940, and had lived on the ranch near Fort Davis since then. They had no children,
Mrs. Henderson was shot once with a .41 caliber pistol and father was shot three times with a .45 caliber six-shooter.
Judge Hunter O. Metcalfe of Marfa said he was considering calling a special grand jury in 83rd District Court at Fort Davis to consider the two cases.
