John G Bailey son of John was born 1845, and died Dec 26, 1909. He was a farmer, following the occupation in Ferguson Township, Centre County. He was very active in public affairs as a stanch Republican and for two terms held the office of county commissioner, he funeral taking place the day his second term of office expired. He was the director of the Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Centerhall, and was very active in his work for the interest of his Company. He was an official member of the Presbyterian church. He married Nannie McWilliams, daughter of Henry McWilliams and she now makes her home at Pine Grove, Centre county. The children born of this union were: Frank W; John, living on the old homestead; Mary, who married Hammel Glenn, son of Samuel Glenn, and member of a prominent Centre county family
