Requiem Mass was celebrated Wednesday, April 11, 1990 at St Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City, Texas for Mr. Rufino Lopez Jr. Msgr. Lambert Bily Officiating. A Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Karnes City.Interment was in the New Bremen Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service were George Lopez, David Lopez, Andres Lopez, Alex Lopez, Roland N Lopez and Saul G Lopez.
Mr Lopez was born in Karnes County, Texas on Nevember 3, 1938 to Rufino and Petra Guzman Lopez Sr. and died on april 7, 1990 in San Antonio at the age of 51 years, five months and four days.
Mr Lopez had lived in Karnes City for the past two years. moving here from San Antonio where he was self employes as tile setter. Mr. Lopez was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City.
Survivors include his two daughters Mrs. Monica L. (Rojelio) Rodriguez and Ruby (Paul) Frendez both of San Antonio: his father Rufino Lopez Sr. of Kennedy: five brothers, Lupe Lopez of Fort Worth, Gilbert and Edward Lopez both of Coy Coty: Raul Lopez of San Antonio and Retnaldo Lopez of Houston: three sisters Mrs Ernestine Cantu of Floresville, Mrs Mary Bowers of North Carolina and Mrs Irene Guerra of Houston: five grandchildren.
