Death
The SSDI information states Wyandotte, Ottawa, OK as last residence. This is only a short distance from Grove which was probably his home.Obituary: Joseph R. Goheen - Grove Oklahoma - Joseph R. Goheen, 68, Paradise Point, north of Grove was dead on arrival at Grove General Hospital around 6:30 pm Monday. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Mr. Goheen was born May 18, 1904, in Joplin. He moved to Paradise Point about four years ago from Kansas City, Kan. where he worked for the Knaus Transfer and Storage Company. He was a member of the Old Mission Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kan. He was married to Bernice Hudson on Oct 4, 1936, in Leavenworth, Kan. She survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Bernie Goheen of Chanute, Kan.: a daughter, Mrs Karen Pittman of Lenexa, Kan.; Three brothers, Roy Goheen ad Harry Goheen, both of Joplin, and John Goheen of Springfield, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Roy Williams, are also of Springfield, and three grandsons.
Services will be at 2pm Thursday at Worley Funeral Home chapel in Grove. The Rev. Bob Mash will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.
