Marriage
Anna Goheen was named the administrator of John Goheen estate. It is assumed that Anna was his wife from this evidence.Some Genealogies indicate that Anna Prigg who married Timothy Millard and living in Coventry twp, Chester County in 1740 was John Goheen's wife, this is not true she was married to Mr Millard and producing children at the time Ann (John Goheen) wife was producing children. Someone just made an assumption without any evidence. I also though this may be true but further investigation proved otherwise

Noah Abraham and John Goheen were appraisers.Know all men by those presents that we Anne Goheen Philip David, Nathaniel Jones all of the County of Chester and province of Pennsylvania yeomen are held and firmly bound unto Wm Plumisted Regr Genll for ye Probate of will and granting letter of Administration in and for ye province aforesaid in the sum of one hundred fifty pounds of Lawful money of Province to be paid to the said Regr Genll his Ex Account or assignees to which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs Executors and Administrators and Every of ... whole and for ye whole joyntly and Severely firmly by those presents sealed with our seals dated the ninth day of February Anno dom 1747/8
The condition of this obligation is such that if ye above bounden Edward Goheen adm of all and singular ye goods chattles and creditts of Edward Goheen do make or cause to be made or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all singular ye goods chattles and creditts of ye sd deceased which have or shall come to the hand possession or knowledge of ye said Edward Goheen into ye hands possession or knowledge of every other person or persons for here and ye found for made exhibitts or cause to be exhibitted into the register office for the said county on or before you Ninth day of March next ensuing ...

Administration Bond on ye Estate of Anne Goheen deceased 28 May 1751 No. 1376Know all Men by these resents that /vis. John Goheen, Thomas Green and Thomas Evans all of Chester County in the providence of Pennsylvania are held and firmly bound unto William Plumveld Esq Gen for ye Probate of Wills and granting letters of administration in and for the Province aforesaid in ye of them of for hundred pounds of lawful money of Pennsylvania to be paid to ye said register general or to his certain attorney Eaton administrator or assigners to which payment will and truly be made we band ourselves and heirs Eaton and administrators and every of them in and for the Whole and Joyntly and Severely and firmly by then presence Seals with Seals Dates this twenty eighth day of May ano Domo.
The condition of this obligation is such that if Ye above found John Goheen, administrator of ye goods and chattles of Anne Goheen deceased do make or cause to be made a true ad perfect inventory f all the singular the goods chattles and credits of ye said deceased which have or shall come to ye hands possession or knowledge ye said John Goheen or into the hands in possession of any other person or persons or for him and ye same so make exhibit or cause to be exhibited unto the regr office at Chester on or before the first day of July next ensuing and ye same goods and chatles of ye said deceased which at he time death or which at any time after shall come ye hands and ... ye said John Goheen or unto ye hand and possession of ... any other person or persons for m do well and truly administer according to Law and further do make or cause to be made a true and just accot of his domain when Legally there unto required and all ye Rest and Resides of ye said chattles and credits which shall be found remaining upon ye said admor's accot the same being first examined and allowed by this orphans court of ye County of Chester shall deliver and pay to such person and persons respectively as ye said courts by its decree or sentence pursuant to Law shall limit and appoint and it shall hereafter appear that any Last Will and testament was made by ye deceased and ye Exor Exore therein named do Exhibit and same unto the Regr Office at Chester making request to have ye same allow and approves of accordingly if ye said John Goheen bring thereunto Requests do rend ands deliver up ye said Letters of Admon approbation of such testament being first had and made at office
