Clara Cordelia "Delia" Payne Drewry was born March 15, 1859 to Priscilla (Celia) McCutcheon and Enos H. Payne. She passed away on October 21, 1943 at Magic Springs, Searcy County, Arkansas.
Delia married William Riley Drewry on March 3, 1874, in the Mt Pleasant Township of Searcy County Arkansas. To this union 14 children were born. After William Riley died in 1902, Delia remarried on September 20, 1906 to Wilson Arthur Taylor, according to Book H, Page 138 of Searcy County Records.
Children of Delia and William Riley are: Beddie, Elick, Bertha, Maudie, Homer, Pamelia, Sarah, James, William, John, Member, Parthenia and supposedly 2 children passed at an early age.
Delia's mother was the daughter of Ezekial Norris McCutcheon and Nancy Melvina Hale.
Delia was a avid knitter; she would process, card and spin her own wool to make socks and clothing for the family.
