THOMAS THORNE

[Refs. 13 June 1867 Morning Telegraph - Thos THORNE of Butternut Ridge (Kings Co.) died recently after an illness of which he had been confined to his bed some 26 years. Also Christian Messenger and Visitor - d. Canaan Road, Havelock (Kings Co.) Sept. 9th, 78th year, Elizabeth THORNE widow of Thomas THORNE. This sister and her husband were of the first settlers of this section of the country and among the first members of the church at Butternut Ridge, she being baptized by Elder Lewis many years since. Her husband was confined to his house for many years. She took care of a family of three sons, two of whom survive her.][Thorne Book]
