This family lived in New Canaan NB. Charles was Deacon of the Salem Reformed Baptist Church for 41 years. On 11 Feb 1912, Charles wrote a ten stanza ballad called "The Jam at Gerry's Rock." This records the death of four loggers and their foreman Jack Monroe, and the broken heart suffered by Jack's girl Clara. [Corey Book]
