VICTOR LAWRENCE COREY

(11 Feb 1883 - 12 Jan 1976)

Victor and his brother Perl worked out of Oyster Bay NY, where they are described as artisans of the building trade." They helped construct" the Curtis-Wright first flying boat, as well as many WWII P.T. boats, and were also associated with the highly reputed Fife's Shipyard of Glenwood Landing." Many of the stately mansions on Long Island's north shore are said to be examples of their craftsmanship.

After retirement, Victor remained in Oyster Bay, where in 1976 he heard of the death of his brother in New Canaan, "became despondent at the news of his brother's demise and succumbed a month afterwards." Victor and Perl were written about as "purportedly the oldest surviving twins in America."

Victor married Delia Serringer, and had nine children; four are now known to us. [Corey Book]
