ROBINA GEORGIANNA COREY

(4 Oct 1838 - 1889)

Robina is found in the Hallowell 1861 census, living with her grandmother Elizabeth, presumably helping in the operation of the family tavern. Keith Book says she married in 1864 to Ezekiel Keith, from the family of Samuel Keith of New Canaan NB. The 1871 census shows a family of Ezekiel Keith, Robina, and son Charles aged four. This was the only child to the marriage. Keith Book puts Robina's death at 1889 in Seattle Washington, the circumstances that took her there not now known. She was only 50 years of age. Ezekiel is said to have lived his last years with a niece in Chilliwack BC. The son, Charles Keith, became a lawyer and lived his life in British Columbia. He was apparently unmarried, with no descendants. References: Keith Book; ONHallowell census 1861, 1871; Stanley Corey. [Corey Book]
