b. Dartmouth, Ms. Lived and d. there, 1796:Fe9 but his earlier life was spent in RI and his d. was pub. in the "Newport Mercury". A Quaker. Frebon Rider says of him: "an upright man yet stern and severe, and held by his grandchildren in much respect and great awe.
