Burial
Obituary - Helen S. Harrington: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at the Wesley Methodist Church in Crowley, with the Rev. Truman Stagg officiating, for Helen S. Harrington, 88, of Jennings, who died at her home Monday, Sept. 22, at 8:40 p.m. Burial was in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday until 10 p.m. and reopen at 8 a.m. until time of services. She is survived by three daughters, Josephine H. LeBlanc, Houma, Elaine H. Fontenot, Jennings, and Jeanelle H. Weakley, Crowley; one sister, Alam Sensat, Texas; one brother, Jennings Smith, Lake Charles; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett Harrington; her parents, Hines and Zoraphine Smith; one grandson, Chad Hoffpauir; one great-grandson, Jason Trahan, Jr. and siblings. She was a lifetime honorary member of the board at Westley Methodist Church and very active in all church functions and activities. Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley was in charge of arrangements.
