Milton Stover Eisenhower

BIOGRAPHY: Won fame as an American educator and administrator who spec ialized i n agriculture, public information, and governmental organiza tion. He became an associate director of the Office of War Informati on (OWI) in 1942. He became president of Kansas State College in 194 3 and of Pennsylvania State College in 1950. Eisenhower also acted a s special ambassador to South America for his bro ther in 1953. He wa s president of Johns Hopkins University from 1956 to 1967 a nd again i n 1971. In 1968, President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed him chairma n o f the National Commission on the Causes and Prevention of Violence .
