Nickname:<NICK> Dode Also Known As:<_AKA> Query Cause of Death :<CAUS> suicide Obituary: Dora Mile (Dode) Query, 59 years old , a brother of the late Nathani el Query, was found dead Sunday. He h ad hanged himself with a clothesline tied to a rafter in the kitche n of the home near Atkinsonville, where he lived alon e. He had stoo d on a stool, adjusted the noose and then had kicked the stool a way . He was found by James Fleming and W. C. Haltom, his nearest neighbo rs. T hey had become alarmed when no smoke was seen coming from his c himney, and went to investigate. Looking through a window, they sa w his body hanging. It was decided by the coroner, James Rowland, tha t he had been dead since Wednesday. His brother, Nathaniel Query, ha d hanged himself, Sunday, February 28, and was buried Wednesday of las t week. "Dode" Query had been notified by a neighbor of the burial o f his brother and it is thought he hanged himself shortly after he ari ng the news. He (Dode) had been married to an Illinois woman and the y had s everal children. They had been separated for some time and th e wife had return ed to Illinois. Her address is not known by any o f the Query neighbors. Sheri ff Frank Mitten was notified of the deat h of Mr. Query and he, together with Co roner James Rowland and son, G ilbert, investigated. The body was frozen hard a nd it was the opinio n of the officers that he had been dead since Wednesday eve ning. Sur viving him are the following brothers and sisters: Charles Query o f S traughn, Indiana; Mrs. Ann Haltom of Poland; Mrs. Maggie Haltom o f Spencer; Mrs . Della James of Terre Haute, and Mrs. Martha Randall p f Vandalia. Funeral ser vices were held Tuesday afternoon at Old Caro lina Church and internment was mad e in the adjoining cemetery.
