Adella Welle, 91, Melrose, died on Friday, Dec 3, 1993 at Pine Villa Nursing Home in Melrose. Funeral services were held at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spring Hill on Tuesday, Dec 7 at 11 am. Father Jordan Stovik and Father Roger Vossberg officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Ron, John and Jeff Welle, Eric Verzuh, Nancy Conlin, Sheila Lelwica, Sheila Welle Anderson, and Ann Kleffman. Lori Welle was cross bearer; Mary Kemper was scripture bearer; and Laura Wuertz was the organist.
Adella was born Jan 14, 1902 in Meire Grove to Joseph and Elizabeth (Deters) Meyer. She married Michael Welle on Nov 11, 1924 in Meire Grove. She was a member of St. Michael's Church in Spring Hill. Adella was also a member of the St. Michael's Church Choir for many years, the St. Michael's Christian Mothers, St. Michael's Catholic Aid Assoc.; and the Poor Soul's Society.
Her survivors include her children, Ray Welle, Spring Hill; Sylvester Welle, Spring Hill; Walter Welle, Callaway; Mrs. B. J. (Leona) Rolfzen, Hibbing; Bernice and Angeline Welle, St. Cloud; Mrs. James (Juliana) Verzuh, Billings, MT and Mrs. David (Bernadine) Sieben, Melrose; brothers and sisters; Francis Meyer, Meire Grove; Mrs. Catherine Korf, Melrose; Mrs. Regina Illies, Meire Grove; Mrs. Edward (Pauline) Imdieke, Meire Grove; Mrs. Erma Welle, Sauk Centre; Mrs. George (Hilda) Meyer, Sauk Centre; Mrs. Henry (Olivia) Schmiesing, Sauk Centre; and Mrs. Evelyn Illies, Elrosa; 31 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Welle; and a brother, Henry Meyer.
