Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 16 at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove for Regina Illies who died Sunday, June 13 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. St. Mary's Society, Poor Soul's Society and Holy Rosary Society will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Regina Illies was born in Meire Grove to Joseph and Elizabeth (Deters) Meyer. She was united in marriage to Victor C. Illies on September 25, 1934 in Meire Grove.
Survivors include her children, Kathleen Meyer of Spring Hill, Jeanette Fuchs (George) of Paynesville, Marie Pung (Mike) of Cold Spring, Dennis Illies (Kathy) of Meire Grove and Joseph Illies of St. Francis; 18 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Francis Meyer (Loretta) of Meire Grove, Evelyn Illies of Elrosa, Pauline Imdieke of Meire Grove and Olivia Schmiesing of Sauk Centre.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor Illies on March 18, 1993; son, Harold Illies; 2 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Henry and Bernard Meyer, Catherine Korf, Adella Welle, Hilda Meyer and Erma Welle.
