Martha M. Timp, 81, of Freeport, died April 22, 2003, at the Melrose Area Hopsital.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Martha Timp was born in St. Rosa to Henry and Elizabeth (VonBokern) Beuning. She was united in marriage to Alphonse Timp on May 27, 1941, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The couple farmed near the New Munich area. They moved to Freeport and retired in 1978. Martha enjoyed Bingo, cards, bowling, flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport and the Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her husband, Al Timp of Freeport; children, Art Timp (Jean) of Grey Eagle, Don Timp (Betty) of Freeport, Jerry Timp (Judy) of Freeport, Joan Lupachini (Peter) of Gold Canyon, AZ, Jim Timp (Mary) of Melrose, Mary Flan (Dan) of Paynesville, Janice Zierden (Mark) of Melrose and Cheryl Jacobson (Kim) of Cannon Falls; 23 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; twin brother, Jerry Beuning (Lillian) of Freeport; sisters, Connie Hoeschen (Ben) of Mahnomen, Aggie Schwinghammer (Ed) of Freeport, Sally Viere (Arnold) of Melrose and Rose Spanier (Roman) of St. Joseph.
Martha was preceded in death by her infant twin sons, James and John Timp; grandson, Aric Zierden; brothers, Lawrence, William and Ambrose Beuning, and sister, Ann Kauffel.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral Service of Freeport.
