Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Pauline Mary Kruschek, age 87 of St. Cloud will be at St. Mary's Cathedral (Lower Church) at 4:00 PM Friday, June 9, 2006 with visitation starting at 2:30. Burial will be on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery, Waite Park, Minnesota. Funeral arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Pauline Kruschek, the oldest of 13 children was born on March 15, 1919 in New Munich, Minnesota to Leo and Catherina (Thull) Sand. She married Herman Kruschek on April 22, 1941 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Pauline and Herman farmed in New Munich for several years before moving to Melrose and then to Sauk Centre, Minnesota where they managed the Truck Line and Barners Café. After moving to St. Cloud, Pauline worked in the restaurant business. After Herman's death in 1972, Pauline bought the Three Tear Drops Restaurant in Holdingford, Minnesota, which she owned and managed until her retirement. Pauline moved to the Germain Towers, St. Cloud in 1984 and lived there until 2005 when she moved to Nature's Point Assisted Living and Talahi Senior Care Center. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and the Women of the Moose #417. Pauline was a strong and spiritual lady who enjoyed sewing, her grandchildren, visiting and helping people and making a difference in their lives.

Pauline is survived by 2 sons, Gerald (Rosey) of Lexington, Oklahoma, Gene (Roxie) of Star Prairie, Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren; brothers Werner (Eileen) of Avon, Rembert (Lorraine) of Freeport, Maynard (Mel) of St. Wendel, Jerome (Donna) of Melrose, Syl (Carrie) of St. Cloud and sisters, Joan Otto of New Munich, Marlene Determan of Wheaton, Flo Mayers (Ray) of Montana, and Jean Enneking (Clarence) of Albany.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1972; sons, Kenneth and David; brothers, Ervin and Edward; and sister Lucille Sand. In lieu of flowers, donations to Talahi Senior Foundation are preferred.
