Services will be on Monday, July 22, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville for Geraldine M. (Fuchs) Dahl, age 68, of Paynesville who died Thursday, July 18, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Eberhard Schefers will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Louis Parish Cemetery in Paynesville. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday. St. Louis Christian Women will pray at 4:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home in Paynesville. Arrangements were by the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville.
Geraldine was born on March 1, 1934, in Lake Henry, Minnesota to Alphonse and Sarah (Winter) Fuchs. Gerrie attended school in Lake Henry and Spring Hill. In 1952, she married Elmer R. Dahl in a double wedding ceremony with her twin sister Bernie Fuchs and Gerald Roeser at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Geraldine and Elmer resided in Minneapolis and Maple Lake. After Elmer passed away in 1974, Geraldine and her family moved to Paynesville. She was a member of St. Louis Parish and the Christian Women. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and neighbors.
Survivors include her children and their families; Joseph, Karen, Amber, Sara, Matthew, and Michael Dahl of St. James, James, Barb, Eric, Connor, and Jonathon Dahl of Delano, John, Kim, Chris, Josh, Kayla, Laura, and Derek Dahl of New London, Jeff, Jackie, Shelly, Eric, Samantha, and Corey Dahl of Lake Henry, JoAnn, Dennis, Jena, and Jordan Spaulding of Paynesville, Jerome Dahl of Paynesville, Jason, Patricia, Alexandria, and Payton Dahl of St. Cloud, Jack, Peggy, Jacob, and Elizabeth Dahl of Paynesville; sisters, Dorothy Hess of Lake Henry, Bernadine Roeser of Paynesville, and Irene Jaeger of Lake Henry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Elmer; an infant son; daughter, Mary; and son, Jacob. Pallbearers will be her children.
