March 2, 2003 Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park, MN for Alois V. Namyst, 82, who died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at the St. Benedicts Center, St. Cloud, MN. The Rev. David Trujillo will officiate. Burial will be at the St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 ~ 9 PM Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud and also after 9:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. St. Joseph's Parish Prayers will be at 8:30 PM on Wednesday evening.
Alois was born on January 22, 1921 to Ignatius and Hedwig (Pilarski) Namyst in Holdingford Township. He married Verda Thene on June 26, 1951 at Annunciation Church, Mayhew Lake, MN. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 - 1946 in the South Pacific. He worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in St. Cloud from 1946 until retiring in 1979. Alois was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park, MN.
Alois is survived by his children: Verdelle (Herb) Dingmann, St. Cloud, MN; Cheryl (Steve) Konkol, Sun Prairie, WI; Colette (Marc) Goldberg, Kinnelon, NJ; brothers: Fidales Namyst, Woodbury, MN; Clarence Namyst, Holdingford, MN; sisters: Valeria Mrosla, Royalton, MN; Kathryn Namyst, Holdingford, MN; Delores Walters, Edina, MN; Roseanne Nentl, Aitkin, MN; Doreen Czech, Golden Valley, MN; grandchildren: Alan and Glen Dingmann; Andrew, Jay and Laura Konkol; Gabriel, Ariella and Grace Goldberg.
Alois was preceded in death by his wife, Verda on 6-28-2000; parents; brother John and sister Alice Korman.
