Funeral Services will 11 AM on Monday, December 9, 2002 at St. Mary¹s Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta for Alice H. Korman, age 86, of St. Augusta, who died Thursday at St. Benedict¹s Center in St. Cloud. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 PM on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Christian Women will pray at 6:30 PM followed by Parish Prayers at 7 PM. Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud made the arrangements.
Alice was born October 12, 1916 in Holdingford, Minnesota to Ignatius and Hedwig (Pilarski) Namyst. She married Walter Korman on September 21, 1937 at St. Hedwig¹s Catholic Church in Holdingford. She lived and farmed in the St. Augusta Township all of her married life. She also worked as a cook at Klock¹s Café and St. Cloud Teacher¹s College. She was a member of St. Mary¹s Help of Christians Catholic Church and Christian Women.
Surviving Alice is her husband Walter of St. Augusta, children Ken (Dorothy) Korman of St. Augusta, Carol (Lloyd) Eversman of St. Augusta, Mary (Mike) Gillham of Becker, Therese (El) Haus of St. Augusta, Barb (Joe) Styles of St. Cloud, and John (Pam) Korman of Mendota Heights, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and brothers and sisters Valeria Mrosla of Royalton, Alois Namyst of St. Cloud, Kathryn Namyst of Holdingford, Dolores Walters of Edina, Fidelis 'Spike' Namyst of Woodbury, Clarence Namyst of Holdingford, RoseAnne Nentl of Aitken and Dorraine Czech of Golden Valley. Preceding her in death are her parents, granddaughter Kateri Korman-Chopp and brother John Namyst.
Alice was very family orientated and a Christian woman, and anyone who knew her will remember her great generosity and hospitality. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
