Jun 28, 2000 Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park, for Verda A. Namyst, 80, who died Wednesday at Sterling Care Facility, Waite Park.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 tonight at Williams Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and one hour before services Saturday at the church. Nocturnal Adoration Society will conduct a prayer service at 6 p.m. followed by Christian Women at 6:30 and parish prayers at 7 today at the funeral home.
Verda Namyst was born in Rice to John and Ida (Lubbesmeier) Thene. She married Alois Namyst on June 26, 1951, at Annunciation Church, Mayhew Lake.
She was employed by VA Medical Center in dietetics until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of Waite Park American Legion Post 428 Womens Auxiliary, Nocturnal Adoration Society, Daughters of Isabella and St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; children, Verdelle Dingmann of St. Cloud, Cheryl Konkol of Sun Prairie, Wis., and Colette Goldberg of Eagan; seven grandchildren; and brother and sister, Norbert of Mayhew Lake, and Margie Popp of Rice.
