The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Frank B. Meyer, age 91 of Albany, will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 24th at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Frank died early Friday at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany. There will be a visitation from 5-9:00 PM Monday, May 23 and again after 10:00 AM Tuesday at The Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany. Albany Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Catholic Aid Society prayer service will be Monday at 7:30 PM with Seven Dolors parish prayers at 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers a donation to the Albany Knights of Columbus is asked. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany.
Frank was born March 3, 1914 in Meier Grove, MN to Herman and Pauline (Nathe) Meyer. He married Loretta Schwieters on September 11, 1940 in Greenwald, MN. Frank worked as a truck driver for Kraft for 23 years, before buying the Jonas Oil Company which he owned for thirteen years before retiring in 1975. He is a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany, Albany Area Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Catholic Aid Society.
Frank is survived by his wife of 64 years Loretta Meyer of Albany. Children: Sharon Day, of Albany; Glenn (Dianne) Meyer of Plymouth; Gary (Jeanine) Meyer of Bloomington; Greg Meyer of St. Paul; Mary Lee (Gary) Garbe of Anoka; Gordon Meyer of Milwaukee, WI; Geoff (Cathy) Meyer of Bellgrade, MT. 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. One sister Veronica Otto of Wausau, WI.
He is preceded in death by infant twin boys Jeff and Joel Meyer. Infant granddaughter Heidi; Brothers and sisters: Alois Meyer, Anna Meyer, Herman Francis Meyer, Josephine Baltes, Anton Meyer, Appolonia Moore, Herman Joseph Meyer, Joseph Meyer, Caroline Inderrieden, Gertrude Meyer, Agatha Scheuer, and Robert Meyer.
