Mary Boeckers Wycoff
Mary Boeckers Wycoff, age 91 of St. Pete Beach, Fla., and formerly of New Munich, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at the Park View Care Center in Buffalo, Minn., where she had been a resident since June. A Memorial Mass was held on Thursday, Aug. 30, at St. John's Catholic Church, Swanville, with Father Ron Dockendorf as the celebrant. Burial will be at a later date in Florida.
Mary was born Jan. 15, 1916, in New Munich, to Melchoir "Mike" and Margaret (Eichoff) Boeckers. She graduated from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph. She taught Latin and history at several Minneapolis high schools. Her second career took her to the 3M Company, in St. Paul, where she was a staff writer and editor. On June 14, 1974, Mary and Les Wycoff were united in marriage in a private ceremony in Minneapolis. They lived in Westfield, N.J., until retiring to St. Pete Beach, Fla.
Mary was an active member of the St. John's Catholic Church in St. Pete Beach.
Mary Boeckers Wycoff is survived by three sisters, Florentine Meier, Albany, Sr. Anne Boeckers, St. Paul Monastery, and Margaret (Norbert) Dockendorf, Sauk Rapids; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Arnold, Casper and Hildebrand Boeckers.
