Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2006 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Marcellus J. Lahr, age 88, who died Sunday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4p.m. Wednesday and from 9-10 Thursday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m.
Marcellus was born in Eden Valley, MN to Math and Mary (Kinzer) Lahr. He married Christine (Birk) Mumm on April 10, 1950 in St. Boniface Church, Cold Spring, MN. Marcellus was a farmer and worked for Cold Spring Granite for many years. He was a member of St. Boniface Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Christine; children, Darlene (Buddy) Ramler of Crystal, Roger (Sharon) Mumm of Hutchinson, Thomas (Paula) Mumm of Prior Lake, Mary (Charles) Theisen of St. Cloud and Deb (Fran) Ramler of Cold Spring; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patricia Kaiser; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
