Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Genevieve Loehr, 80, who died Monday at St. Michael's Hospital, Sauk Centre. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers and St. James Society of Catholic Aid will pray at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Sauk Centre, followed by parish prayers at 8.
Genevieve Loehr was born in St. Martin to Joseph and Elizabeth (Schaefer) Doll. She married Melvin Loehr on Sept. 20, 1949, in St. Martin. The couple farmed for 25 years near Elrosa in Lake George Township, until 1974, when they retired and moved to Elrosa. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, St. James Society of Catholic Aid and Miraculous Medal Association.
Survivors include her husband; children, Leander of Elrosa, and Betty Rademacher of Melrose; seven grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Sylvester of St. Martin, Marie Faber of Paynesville, Martin of Waite Park, Virgil of Cold Spring, Walberga 'Wally'Lieser of Lake Henry, Rita Feldewerd of Melrose, and Joseph of St. Martin.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Henry, Mary Ann Fuchs, Marcella Laumeyer, Anthony 'Tony'and Urban. Memorials are preferred.
