Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa for Melvin Loehr who died suddenly Monday at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre. Rev. Jeff Ethen will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday. St. James Catholic Aid will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Survivors include two children, Leander (Donna) Loehr of Elrosa and Betty (Gene) Rade-macher of Melrose; seven grand-children; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Alphonse Loehr of Sauk Centre and Joseph (Jeanette) Loehr of Melrose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathias and Theresa (Gardner) Loehr; and his wife, Genevieve Loehr on January 22, 2001.
