Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2006 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Joseph "Joe" Doll, age 69, who died Tuesday at the Melrose Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Martin Parish Center in St. Martin. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements with the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond.
Joe was born in Melrose, MN to Joseph and Elizabeth (Schaefer) Doll. He married Therese Lange on August 23, 1960 in St. Francis Church, St. Francis, MN. Joe was a farmer and custodian for St. Martin's Church. He loved to "putz" on his crafts, decorate the yard with lawn ornaments, decorate the church and spoil his grandchildren! He was a member of St. Martin Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Therese; children, Ron (Alice) of New Munich, Renee (Jim) Jopp of St. Joseph; brothers, Martin of St. Cloud, Virgil (Florine) of Cold Spring; sisters, Marie Faber of Paynesville, Walburga Lieser of Lake Henry, Rita (Al) Feldewerd of Melrose; brother-in-law, Melvin Loehr of Elrosa; sister-in-law, Lydia Doll of St. Martin; 3 grandchildren, Craig, Tessa and Trevor Doll; 1 great-grandchild, Hunter Goihl.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Henry, Marcella Laumeyer, Urban, Sylvester, Jenny Loehr, Mary Ann Fuchs and Anthony.
